RENEWAL FOR EXISTING SSCC MEMBERS

With just two simple steps you can renew your membership of Shannonside Cycling Club (SSCC) and Cycling Ireland (CI).  Membership provides you with personal accident and public liability insurance cover and is required for you to train with SSCC and participate in our events.  Please note in order for your application to be valid and approved, you are required to join both SSCC and CI. It is not enough to simply pay the club fee.

JOINING SSCC & CYCLING IRELAND FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Before you register with CI you should have a look at the guide below to decide what type of licence you want (it depends on whether you want to race or not).  If you are unsure what licence you want get in touch and we can advise.

Go to the following link and register with Cycling Ireland as a Shannonsidecc member.
 
 
  • Step three
Once you have registered and paid for your CI membership, you should then join SSCC via our website. 

 

Explanation below of Cycling Ireland License Category types (and prices)

New Member Leisure: €15

This is the minimum membership level for new members joining the club that have not held a licence with Cycling Ireland before and who do not wish to participate in races. This membership allows you to take part in our training rides or touring/sportive events like the An Post Cycle Series or The Wicklow 200.

Renewal Leisure: €25

This is the minimum membership level for existing members of the club. This membership allows you to take part in our training rides or touring/sportive events like the An Post Cycle Series or The Wicklow 200.

Club Competition (Midlands Interclub League): €60

If you want to take part in club races such as the Midlands Interclub League or our own TT League then you will need this licence. Right now you might think you’ll never race but races are handicapped meaning nobody gets left behind and they are also great fun so don’t rule out the possibility of a race this summer.

Full Competition (all Cycling Ireland events, senior and veteran): €125

Only for those participating in Cycling Ireland Races (also covers everything else including Midlands Interclub League). For Full Competition membership, choose your race licence category. Unsure which category you are?
